My mother-in-law has an acronym that she has learned from the quilting world that I think applies to my blog at this moment in time: U.F.O.'s or, Unfinished Objects! I am notorious for beginning projects in my life with gusto only to see my energy and drive for them peeter out before I've crossed the finish line. The best part about blogging is that the nature of the blog is forgiving; I can completely forget to post and it will always be here waiting for my fingers to hit the keys. Here's a list of some things I have started in life and never finished (in no particular order):
1. Knitting a sweater - all parts are knit but they are not put together
2. I can't tell you how many journals I have started. Each one has a first entry that promises my future self that I will write faithfully - ha!
3. The Fountainhead by Ann Rand ( I have no regrets on this one)
4. Quilting a Christmas tree skirt
5. Numerous crossword puzzles
6. Friendship bread
I'm sure there are more. Notice this blog is not on that list - I've got plenty of posts up my sleeve. It's good to be back.
I have 5...5...FIVE unfinished journals and countless books on my bookshelf that I have not made past page 20. I gave up on reading...probably makes me more and more illiterate as the days go on.
ReplyDeletePrinting Photos for keepsakes: have yet to print ONE photo from college memories despite the fact I go to target on a weekly basis.
Laundry: on Average...i take 2 weeks to fold and put away clean and dry clothes.
My blog: started it a month ago-have yet to make a post...yet im posting on yours?!?! Yah-cuz that makes sense. PS-how did you get such a cute background? Mine is so boring. Help please?! K thanks.
and the list goes on and on...I think this may just be part of our Slavin inherited qualities. Might as well embrace it. <3 you!
