My baby boy turned 8 months old yesterday. Although parenting is still "troubleshooting" at this stage, I am amazed at how Adam and I have transformed into parents. I often find myself thinking "holy crap! I have a child." Yesterday I was especially nostalgic as I re-lived the day that he was born. I remember coming home and wondering how we were going to manage at first; now I feel that although we have plenty more to learn, we have made so many strides. Leyton too! It amazes me that this once 8 pound, 13 oz. bundle has become this little person; he is this miniature being with a personality that shines everyday. I am utterly in love with him. To help me reflect on the past 8 months, I have been watching some of the short video clips that we have taken over time. In doing this, I've learned two things: LJ has many likes (of which I will showcase in the following videos), and I could be the spokeswoman for Flip Video technology. So, here are a few of my favorite videos. Leyton loves his puppy, Phog Allen. He also love bath time and gets so excited when he is in his crib waiting for the bath water to be drawn upstairs. Baby Einstein is like crack to him - he gets a shit eating grin anytime he sees the caterpillar on the screen signaling the beginning of the show and he also means business when he's watching so don't get in between him and the television because he'll push you out of the way. He loves kicking his legs, especially when he's really excited. He was a mover and a shaker before being a crawler - he would roll to any destination, including underneath his Jumparoo. He is now crawling - in fact, he does surprisingly well on hard wood floors. What the videos don't show you is that he also loved swim lessons this past fall, he enjoys eating pretty much anything put in front of him (as long as it is pureed to his liking), he loves books as well as music and dancing, and he loves to swing outside. His smile is worth a million bucks - I just can't get enough of him. Enjoy these....he's too cute for words.
LOVE the video clips Starr! Can you believe it's been 8 months already? Pretty soon we'll be planning these little boy's first birthdays, crazy!
